The duo of Nigerian singers, Tems and Burna Boy, have surpassed South African rock band Seether to become the African artists with the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100.
The trio had previously been tied with seven entries each. However, Burna Boy and Tems secured new appearances on the chart this week through their features on J. Cole’s album, The Fall-Off.
“Bounce Road Blues,” featuring Tems and Future, debuted at No. 34, while “Only You,” featuring Burna Boy, debuted at No. 78. The new entries bring both Nigerian stars to a joint total of eight — the highest by any African artist.
Tems has now recorded three Billboard Hot 100 entries this year alone, including “Raindance” with Dave, “What You Need,” and the latest “Bounce Road Blues.” She currently holds the most entries for any African artist in 2026 so far.
Meanwhile, Burna Boy has become the first African artist to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive years.
His entries over the years include “Loved By You” (2021), “Last Last” (2022), “Sittin’ On Top Of The World” and “Talibans II” (2023), “Just Like Me” and “We Pray” (2024), “WGFT” (2025), and “Only You” (2026).
