Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola said he isn’t bothered by Arsenal’s results in the title race.
Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Wolves earlier this week has given City fresh hope, with his side now five points behind the leaders and a game in hand.
If City win their remaining 12 matches, they would be champions. But Guardiola told reporters today that his focus remains on the next league fixture against Newcastle.
“I’m not talking about the table, our position, or anything like that. I couldn’t care less,” he said. “I didn’t discuss that for even a second. It’s Newcastle, Newcastle, Newcastle. If you asked me this with two or three games left, I’d have an answer. But now, with 12 games left, it’s an eternity.”
Guardiola has won six titles at the Etihad in ten decades.
