Pink Cancels Mexico City Concerts Over Logistics Issues

Pink

Concerts scheduled for pop star Pink in Mexico City have been cancelled.

The 46-year-old singer was expected to perform at the Estadio GNP Seguros on April 26 and 27, but both shows were called off due to circumstances described as being beyond the control of the artist.

In a statement posted on X, concert promoter Ocesa said the cancellation was due to complications arising from an unforeseen event affecting the logistics of the concerts.

“We regret to inform the public in Mexico City that, due to complications arising from an unforeseen event affecting the event’s logistics and beyond the control of the artist, promoter, and venue, PINK’s shows scheduled for April 26 and 27 at Estadio GNP Seguros will not take place,” the statement read.

The promoter assured fans that refunds would be issued. Tickets purchased online will be automatically refunded, including service fees from Ticketmaster, while those who bought tickets at the venue’s box office can request refunds at the same location.

Other performances scheduled at the venue, including concerts by Carolina Ross and Lucho SSJ, were also cancelled, although Ocesa told Billboard Español that those cancellations were unrelated.

Pink previously faced similar circumstances in 2024 when she cancelled the final four shows of her tour due to injuries. The singer later revealed she had been performing despite suffering from a torn bicep and two torn meniscus injuries.

In an emotional message to fans on Facebook at the time, she apologised for the cancellations and explained the physical challenges she had been dealing with.

“This is a love letter and an apology to those who had tickets to the shows I’ve cancelled,” she wrote, adding that she had pushed herself as far as possible before finally needing to stop and recover.

Pink thanked fans for their understanding and expressed hope that she would be able to make it up to them in the future.
