Former Big Brother Naija star Tacha Akide has sparked online reactions after criticizing American rapper Latto over her pregnancy announcement.
Latto recently revealed she is expecting her first child while announcing her upcoming album Big Mama, set for release in May. The news quickly generated buzz online, especially amid reports linking the pregnancy to rapper 21 Savage, who is alleged to have an existing family.
As conversations grew on social media, some users defended Latto, pointing out that at 27 and financially successful, she is in a stable position to have a child.
However, Tacha strongly disagreed.
Reacting to the debate, she said that while the rapper may be financially secure, her decision reflects poor judgment.
“Yes, she’ll be fine. But at the end of the day… she’s incredibly stupid with no form of self-value or self-worth,” Tacha wrote.
She questioned why someone at the peak of their career, with access to successful and accomplished partners, would choose to have a child under such circumstances.
“Cause I don’t get how you’re up there in your career… and you still decide for some weird reason to be a baby mama to a married man?” she added.
Her comments have since divided opinions online, with some supporting her stance on personal standards and others criticising the harsh tone of her remarks.
