“This Is My Farewell” — Mohamed Salah Confirms Liverpool Exit After Nine Years

Mohamed Salah Signs New Liverpool Deal, Extends Iconic Anfield Legacy

Mohamed Salah has confirmed he will leave Liverpool FC at the end of the 2025/26 season, bringing an emotional close to his long and successful time at Anfield.

Although his current contract runs until 2027, Salah revealed that this season will be his last with the club. Since joining Liverpool in 2017, he has made over 435 appearances and played a key role in one of the club’s most successful periods in recent history.

According to the club, Salah chose to inform fans early as a sign of respect and appreciation for their support over the years.

In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, the Egyptian forward reflected on what Liverpool has meant to him.

“Hello, everyone. Unfortunately, the day has come. This is the first part of my farewell. I will be leaving Liverpool at the end of this season.

I never imagined how deeply this club, this city, these people would become part of my life.

Liverpool is not just a football club. It’s a passion, it’s a history, it’s a spirit. I can’t explain it to anyone who hasn’t experienced it.

We celebrated victories. We won the most important trophies, and we fought together through difficult times.

I want to thank everyone who was part of this club, especially my teammates, past and present.

And to the fans, I don’t have enough words. The support you showed me through the best and toughest moments is something I will never forget.

Leaving is never easy. You gave me the best time of my life. I will always be one of you. This club will always be my home, for me and my family.”

Salah’s exit will mark the end of a trophy-filled era. Over the years, he has grown into one of the most influential players in the club’s modern history, helping Liverpool win major titles and creating unforgettable moments for fans around the world.

His departure is expected to leave a significant gap in the team, both in terms of performance and leadership, as the club begins to plan for life after one of its biggest icons.
