Nollywood actress Biola Adebayo made a public appearance at the premiere of Return of Arinze, a film by Iyabo Ojo, despite recent tensions between both women.
The strain in their relationship followed backlash over Biola’s interview with convicted actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka on her show Talk to B.
The interview drew criticism from viewers who felt it portrayed him in a sympathetic light after his conviction for sexual assault.
During the interview, Baba Ijesha made claims about Iyabo’s personal life, including stating that she had once left her children in his care.
Iyabo strongly rejected the statement, describing it as false and warning him not to mention her children again.
The situation escalated online, with reports that Iyabo unfollowed Biola on Instagram at the time.
However, in what appears to signal a shift, Biola was still invited to the premiere and attended. Iyabo has also reportedly followed her on Instagram again.
Biola had earlier issued a public apology over the interview and removed the video from her platforms.
Baba Ijesha was convicted in 2022 by an Ikeja Special Offences Court for offences involving a minor, a case that drew widespread attention across the industry, with Iyabo Ojo among those who openly pushed for justice.
Biola’s presence at the premiere suggests a possible easing of tensions, though neither party has publicly addressed the current state of their relationship.
