Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has unfollowed her colleague Biola Adebayo on Instagram, following the backlash from Biola’s recent podcast interview with Olanrewaju Omiyinka.
A check on Iyabo’s official Instagram page shows she is no longer following Biola, while Biola still follows her, making the move appear one-sided.
The tension comes after the now-viral interview where Baba Ijesha denied sexually assaulting a minor and described the case as a setup. During the conversation, he also brought up his past relationship with Iyabo, claiming she once trusted him with the care of her children.
That part of the interview triggered a strong response from Iyabo.
“I have no problem with you telling your side of the story, but take this as a notice to cease from using my children as your cheap bait. It won’t fly,” she said.
She went further to warn him against mentioning her children again, stating clearly that she would take legal action if it continued.
“Please don’t drag my kids into this. Stop mentioning their names, else I would direct my counsel to serve you appropriate papers.”
Since then, the situation has spilled over onto social media, with Iyabo’s decision to unfollow Biola adding another layer to the fallout.
Online, reactions have been divided. Some people believe Iyabo’s move is justified, given the sensitivity of the issue, while others feel the blame should rest solely on Baba Ijesha and not the interviewer.
