Veteran Nollywood actress Eucharia Anunobi has confirmed the completion of filming for Glamour Girls The Series, marking a new chapter in one of Nollywood’s most iconic franchises.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, she shared behind-the-scenes clips from the production, giving fans a glimpse of the cast and set. The footage featured notable stars including Toke Makinwa, Gloria Anosie-Young, and Nse Ikpe-Etim.
“GLORY TO ELOHIM. GLAMOUR GIRLS THE SERIES has been successfully recorded,” she wrote, also crediting Play Network Studios and producer Charles Okpaleke for the project.
The upcoming series continues the legacy of the Glamour Girls franchise, which began with the 1994 Nollywood classic produced by Kenneth Nnebue.
The original film explored the lives of women navigating wealth, relationships, and survival in Lagos, featuring stars such as Liz Benson, Shan George, and Zack Orji.
In 2022, the franchise was revived with a remake released on Netflix, also produced by Play Network Studios. That version introduced a new generation of cast members, including Nse Ikpe-Etim, Sharon Ooja, Joselyn Dumas, and Toke Makinwa.
While anticipation continues to build, details about the storyline and official release date for Glamour Girls The Series are yet to be revealed. However, the project is already generating buzz as fans look forward to seeing how the iconic story evolves for a new audience.
