Popular Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has addressed the buzz surrounding her recent appearance at a church event, following criticism and questions about her religious identity.
The actress was spotted at the Celestial Church of Christ, specifically at the King of Kings Cathedral in Iju, Lagos, where she attended a thanksgiving service held in honour of Prince Dele Akinola’s 60th birthday.
Dressed in a modest white outfit, Adunni made a graceful entrance at the event, exchanging pleasantries with guests as she was warmly welcomed.
However, what appeared to be a simple show of support quickly sparked reactions online, with many social media users questioning whether her presence at the church signalled a conversion to Christianity.
As the conversation gained traction, Adunni Ade moved to clear the air, firmly addressing the speculation.
“Born and raised in a Muslim household, I still practice Islam,” she stated.
Her response has since added clarity to the situation, even as debates continue online about faith, personal choices, and interfaith interactions in Nigeria.
