“Freezing Eggs Won’t Stop Unwanted Pregnancy” – Sarah Martins Tackles Ashmusy Over Viral Fertility Message

Sarah Martins Tackles Ashmusy Over Viral Fertility Message

Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has reacted to Ashmusy’s viral revelation about freezing her eggs, offering a cautionary response that has sparked fresh debate online.

The reaction comes after Ashmusy opened up about preserving her eggs, explaining that she made the decision to avoid rushing into the wrong marriage because of age pressure and to secure her future as a mother.

Her disclosure drew widespread praise and conversation, but Sarah Martins has now weighed in, arguing that an important part of the conversation was missing.

Addressing Ashmusy directly, the actress said that while educating women about fertility choices is valuable, women also need to be reminded that freezing eggs does not protect them from sexually transmitted infections.

“Dear Ashmusy, thank you for educating women on egg freezing. But please remind them that freezing their eggs to prevent an unwanted pregnancy doesn’t prevent them from getting infected with HIV/AIDS and other diseases that come with careless bedmatics,” she wrote.

Sarah added that while she supports women making intentional reproductive choices, protection and sexual health should remain part of the conversation.

“It is better to freeze your eggs than give birth to unplanned children. But it doesn’t prevent you from getting infections, my queens. Still use protection. Protect yourself always,” she added.

Interestingly, despite her criticism, Sarah ended her message on a supportive note, praising Ashmusy while calling attention to what she believes women should also keep in mind.

Her comments have since triggered mixed reactions online, with some agreeing she raised an important health point, while others argued her response misunderstood Ashmusy’s original message, which focused on fertility planning rather than contraception.

The exchange has now widened the conversation beyond egg freezing to include women’s health, personal choices and the growing public dialogue around reproductive freedom.
