Nigerian social media commentator VeryDarkMan has weighed in on the ongoing family controversy involving Ilebaye Odiniya and her father, Emmanuel Odiniya, following the recent incident that prompted police intervention in Abuja.
Speaking in a video reportedly from Turkey, VeryDarkMan expressed strong concerns about the situation after hearing comments and allegations about the family dispute.
According to him, his perception of the situation changed after hearing Emmanuel Odiniya speak publicly about the confrontation involving his daughter.
“After listening to Ilebaye’s dad intensively, I realized how evil the man is,” he said.
He further advised the reality TV star to keep her distance from her father amid the escalating controversy.
During the emotional commentary, VeryDarkMan also described Emmanuel Odiniya as “over ambitious” and “calculated,” while alleging that the father became aggressive after things allegedly failed to go according to his expectations.
He also made serious claims about the father’s alleged intentions and behavior toward Ilebaye, though no evidence was presented to support them.
The comments have since generated intense reactions across social media, with many users debating the appropriateness of public figures becoming involved in private family disputes.
Some supporters praised VeryDarkMan for speaking out in defense of Ilebaye, while others argued that the matter should be handled carefully, given the seriousness of the allegations being publicly exchanged.
The situation surrounding Ilebaye and her family has continued to attract national attention since the reality TV star appeared in an emotional Instagram Live video alleging abuse and crying for help from her Abuja residence.
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command later confirmed that Emmanuel Odiniya was arrested after officers responded to a distress call.
Since then, conflicting narratives have emerged publicly from both parents regarding finances, family disagreements, medical support, and events leading to the confrontation.
As discussions continue online, many Nigerians have called for privacy, professional intervention, and caution, especially because of the emotional and sensitive nature of the accusations now circulating publicly.
