Hypeman and entertainer MC Fish has publicly addressed the collapse of his marriage to Nollywood actress Anita Joseph, admitting that infidelity from both sides contributed to the end of their relationship.
MC Fish and Anita Joseph got married in February 2020 and were often seen publicly displaying affection and support for each other online before rumours of marital problems eventually surfaced.
In December 2025, Anita officially confirmed their separation, accusing MC Fish of infidelity, domestic violence, and substance abuse.
Responding through an Instagram video on Wednesday, MC Fish acknowledged cheating within the marriage but claimed both parties were guilty.
“Cheating in marriage, I have experienced it, you all know the story, both parties cheated, and I am not even denying the fact that I am absolving myself of blame,” he said.
“I did it, she cheated too.”
The entertainer further alleged that several people close to Anita were aware of what happened during the marriage but insisted he would not publicly reveal names in order to avoid embarrassing both of them.
“If I decide to mention names, her colleagues that were involved, her friends that come online saying ‘you are a queen,’ we know what she’s role modelling for them,” he claimed.
MC Fish also revealed that he had already moved out and emotionally detached himself from the marriage months before Anita publicly announced the separation.
“She is the one who carried the news outside. I had left my house since July last year, 2025, when the news came out in December,” he stated.
“I had moved on with my life before you people came.”
Referencing the ongoing controversy involving Frank Edoho and his ex wife Sandra Onyenucheya, MC Fish argued that retaliation through infidelity only worsens marriages rather than fixing them.
“Cheating does not solve cheating,” he said.
He also criticised social media users who openly support toxic behaviour within relationships, questioning why some people glorify infidelity online.
As of the time of this report, Anita Joseph had not publicly responded to the latest allegations made by her estranged husband.
