Nollywood actress Kemi Korede has announced the passing of her mother in an emotional tribute shared on Instagram.
The Yoruba movie star broke the heartbreaking news on Thursday, describing her late mother as her greatest supporter, teacher, and safe place.
“Today, my heart is heavy beyond words. I lost my beloved mum, my greatest supporter, my safe place, my teacher, and my biggest blessing,” she wrote.
Kemi went on to reflect on the sacrifices, prayers, and strength her mother brought into the family’s life over the years.
“You were the kind of woman whose love could heal pain, whose prayers carried this family through storms, and whose strength inspired everyone around you,” she added.
The actress also expressed gratitude to God for the life her mother lived and the memories she left behind.
“Though my heart aches deeply, I’m grateful to God for the beautiful life you lived and the precious memories you left behind. Heaven has truly gained an angel,” she stated.
Praying for her mother’s peaceful rest, Kemi said she believes her spirit will continue watching over the family.
“You may be gone from my sight, but never from my heart. I will carry your love with me forever,” she wrote.
Shortly after the announcement, colleagues, fans, and well-wishers flooded her comment section with condolence messages and prayers.
