“My Mother’s Memory Keeps Me Going” — Tacha Opens Up on Her Biggest Motivation and Beauty Empire Dreams

Tacha Reacts to Rivers Governor Fubara’s Impeachment Crisis, Laments Lack of Development in State

Reality TV star and entrepreneur Tacha has revealed that the memory of her late mother remains one of the strongest driving forces behind her career, business ambitions, and determination to succeed.

Speaking in an interview with The Sun, the former Big Brother Naija housemate reflected on the influence her mother continues to have on her life, describing her as hardworking, prayerful, and a constant source of inspiration.

According to Tacha, whose real name is Natacha Akide, she often feels compelled to keep pushing herself to make her late mother proud.

“I had a very hardworking and prayerful mother. Even though she’s late, I always feel the need and urge to make her proud. If she had the same opportunity I have right now, she would do everything I have done and even more. That is why I keep being me,” she said.

The reality star also spoke about her headline-making appearance at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), revealing that the outfit she wore took approximately three months to create.

She explained that her recent Guinness World Records achievements inspired the look in the beauty industry.

“My double Guinness Book of Records honours were behind it. I am a beauty founder, and I have plans to launch my cosmetic line by September. It will be called Tacha Beauty. I wanted my outfit and overall look to reflect that journey,” she explained.

Tacha revealed that her passion for makeup began at a young age and played a major role in shaping her future business plans.

“I’ve been into makeup since I was 14 years old. I didn’t want to keep explaining how good I am, I just wanted to show my skills,” she said.

The entrepreneur disclosed that she is preparing to officially launch Tacha Beauty, a cosmetics brand expected to debut in September. She also revealed that she is currently working on a book project as part of her growing portfolio.

Beyond her business ventures, Tacha used the opportunity to encourage young women to remain confident, ambitious, and unapologetic in their pursuit of success.

“I want them to keep getting inspired. They should not stop; they should not ask for permission; they should keep soaring. Be confident in yourselves and live your best lives because you only live once,” she advised.

Tacha made history in 2025 after earning two Guinness World Records during the Tacha Beauty Festival in Lagos.

The achievements came after she completed 82 cosmetic makeovers in 8 hours and an impressive 144 in 24 hours, securing two world record titles in the beauty category.

The accomplishments not only reinforced her reputation in the beauty industry but also laid the foundation for her transition from an influencer and reality TV star to a beauty entrepreneur.

As she prepares for the launch of her cosmetics line, Tacha says her focus remains on growth, innovation, and building a legacy that would make her late mother proud.
