Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has continued to express her frustration as speculation surrounding her troubled marriage to her husband, Bobby Maris, intensifies.
The couple recently fueled breakup rumours after unfollowing each other on Instagram and sharing a series of cryptic posts that sparked widespread reactions on social media.
In a fresh post shared online, Uche suggested she has reached her breaking point, arguing that women should not be expected to remain in unhappy marriages simply because they are wives.
Questioning society’s double standards, she wrote:
“For Person to Tire for Marriage now nah Taboo because nah Woman! Must it always be Man must taya? My Tayad is Tayad!”
The actress also took a swipe at her husband, calling him a “princess” while insisting she no longer wants to continue the relationship.
She wrote:
“I am Tayad of the Princess wey dey marry me. What is wrong with that? To be happy As a Woman in Marriage nah by Connection in this Country!”
Uche further warned against being pushed beyond her limits, saying she has endured enough over the years.
“I no do again nah Sin? Make nobody push me to the wall because I be rubber ooo!”
Reflecting on the length of the marriage, she questioned how much longer she was expected to remain in a relationship that no longer made her happy.
“8 years of my life isn’t enough yet? Maybe I should give it 20 years or maybe 6 feet under before the Crown of thorns can fit me well!”
The latest outburst comes amid an increasingly public dispute between the couple.
