The 14th edition of the Headies Award was held in Lagos some days ago as top personalities in the music industry were awarded for their great work during the year in review.

Top stars like Wizkid won big as YBNL signee Fireboy DML was the highest winner, going home with five awards.

However, Laycon was one of the talking points at the event as he made headlines for the type of shoe he decided to rock at the occasion.

Laycon wore an oversized shoe that raised eyebrows on all social media platforms as some fans condemn his stylist who decided to give him such an outfit.

The talented rapper has now opened up on the main reason why he rocked such an outfit despite that he performed during the cause of the show.

Laycon during an event stated that he wore the shoe cause he wants to make a statement on how far he’s willing to go in the music industry.

He noted that the big shoe noted that every step he decides to take is a big step and this should serve as a motivation to other people who are striving hard.
