Wizkid and Burna Boy have become one of the most sorts after talent in world music for the past few years. They’ve been consistent in dishing out hit tracks and album.
Their projects have been well received by fans and lovers of good music with Wizkid’s last album ‘Made In Lagos’ still breaking barriers on all streaming platforms.
Burna Boy’s ‘Twice As Tall’ album has also continued to receive massive airwave across the globe just months after it won him the prestigious Grammy Award.
Their dominance has now been recognised by BET Award as they are nominated for the 2021 Best International Act.
Both superstars will be battling it out with Aya Nakamura (France), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Emicida (Brazil), Headie One (UK), Young T & Bugsey (UK) and Youssoupha (France).
Speaking after the list was released, Connie Orlando, EVP Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy, said:
“We are back and excited to bring culture’s biggest night, the 2021 ‘BET Awards,’ safely back to Los Angeles to celebrate this year’s incredible roster of nominees.
“We broke ground as one of the first official award shows to move forward during the global pandemic and we are ready to take our pioneer status to the next level with the return of an audience to celebrate the best and brightest creative minds in the entertainment industry,”
Burna Boy won the Best International Act category at the 2019 and 2020 BET Awards.
