Early Life

Temilade Openiyi was (born June 11, 1995), in Lagos, Nigeria, to a British-Nigerian father and a Nigerian mother. The family moved to the United Kingdom shortly after Tems was born.

Tems’ parents separated when she was only five years old, and they divorced. As a result, Tems and her mother relocated to Ilupeju, Nigeria, and then to Lekki before settling in Ajah.

Because the singer is very private about her personal life, she has avoided disclosing any information or the names of her parents and siblings. Tems also has an older brother, the name of whom is unknown.

Moving on to her education, she first attended Dowen College in the Lekki area of Lagos, and for her Tertiary education, she proceeded to South Africa.
