Popular Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa has reacted to the news of American singer, Kelly Clarkson was ordered to pay her estranged husband, Brandon Blackstock, nearly $200,000 in spousal and child support following their split.
A Los Angeles County Court on Tuesday, July 27, ruled that starting on April 1, 2021, Kelly Clarkson, 39, will be required to pay 44-year-old Blackstock $150,000 per month in spousal support.
The docs also state that Clarkson must pay the talent manager $45,601 per month in child support to “benefit” their children, River, 7, and Remington, 5.
Not too pleased with the judgement, Toke Makinwa took to her Instagram story to share her frustrations.
Reacting to the post, Toke Makinwa who divorced her husband some years ago (Read Details Here) noted that God forbids her from paying such money.
Toke Makinwa noted that though she’s a feminist who believes in gender equality, but the life of a woman is hard enough than ordering them to pay a man after divorce.
The beautiful screen diva added that she’s sad because men earn more than women and women don’t get to win every time.
