May Edochie, the estranged wife of actor Yul Edochie, has filed a defamation of character and public harassment lawsuit against his colleague, Sarah Martins.
During the holiday season last year, Kemi Filani reported that Sarah Martins had posted a photoshopped family photo of Yul Edochie, his two wives, and their children.
In an interview with media personality Daddy Freeze, Sarah also made serious allegations against May. She claimed that because May failed in her duties as Yul’s wife, he found love in the arms of her friend, Judy Austin.
She claimed that Sarah Martins had conspired with Judy to intimidate and harass her into filing for divorce from Yul so that she could be his legal wife.
The mother of four is requesting a public apology, retraction of her statement, and assurance that she will not repeat the remarks.
May stated on her Instagram page that she has realized that some people are out to smear her reputation and change the narrative to suit their agenda. May Edochie reinterated that she had a happy and peaceful marriage with Yul before the tragic event.
“If is very inconsiderate and demeaning to SMEAR anyone especially someone you barely knew. I’ve always had a PEACEFUL JOYFUL and LOVING family. I worked tirelessly for several years building beautiful home while managing several businesses successfully.
It is very evident that some persons have been deliberately and desperately trying to TAINT my reputation and change the narrative in order to suit their agenda. This is unacceptable to me.
My passionate legal team will be extremely cheerful to dine with anyone who does not cease and desist from character assassination or defamatory publications in the court of law”.
