Drake Reveals How He Made ‘One Dance’ with Wizkid (Video)


Grammy award-winning rapper and songwriter Aubrey Drake Graham, popularly known as Drake, has shed light on how his collaboration with Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, came to be.

Drake featured Wizkid and British songstress Kyla Reid on the smash tune “One Dance,” which was released in 2016 off Drake’s album “Views”, and in December 2022 scored a diamond certification in the United States selling over ten million units, making it one of Drake’s biggest records.





Speaking on his self-owned radio OVO sound, the God’s Plan crooner explained that ‘One Dance’ came very naturally after he met Wizkid courtesy of Skepta and jumped on the remix of Wizkid’s ‘Ojuelegba’.


Drake also stated that he had doubts about ‘One Dance’ due to how new it was to be fanbase but was happy to have released it eventually.
