I was the one who brought light to Alaba in 1972 – Wizkid’s father (Video)


Alhaji Miniru Olatunji Balogun, the father of Grammy award winner and  Nigerian singer Wizkid in a recent interview made a shocking revelation.

Wizkid’s father in his statement during the interview said that he came to Lagos in the year 1972 and at that time there was no light in Alaba.

Speaking about his contribution to the growth of Alaba, Wizkid’s father utters that he used his influence to make Nepa to do the survey of the whole Alaba and gave them light.






He said the he mapped out, draft and sketch the whole Alaba, presented it to the Nepa board, and was approved. He added that 2 weeks later they gave the whole Alaba light in 1972.

Shedding more light on his personality, Wizkid’s father said he is the baba adeen of Alaba central mosque and former APC chairman for 14 years.


He concluded by giving thanks to God for being alive till date and his son,Wizkid is still doing well in life.
