Grammy award winning artiste, Ayodeji Balogun, aka Wizkid, became the first African artist to perform as the headlining act at Glastonbury, the largest music festival in the United Kingdom, on Friday night.
The “Other Side Stage” of the festival, which took place in Somerset, England, was headlined by the “Essence” crooner.
There were over 210,000 people at the festival.
Wizkid performed a long list of his hit songs; ‘Essence’, ‘One Dance’, ‘Ojuelegba’, ‘Soco’, ‘True Love’, ‘Abracadabra’, ‘Bad To Me’, ‘Come Closer’ etc.
Last year, Burna Boy also gave a performance at the famed Glastonbury Festival, though not as the headlining act.
