#Endsars: Shehu Sani Reacts To Lekki Massacre, Says Past Gov’t Simply Sprayed Perfume On It

Former Kaduna politician Shehu Sani has chastised President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration for its weak response to the Lekki Massacre.

The incident occurred on October 20, 2020, as part of the #EndSARS demonstration in Lagos, as youths gathered at the Lekki tollgate to demand an end to police violence and extortion.

Following the incident, different reports arose, with some alleging that many people were massacred and others stating that only a few individuals were harmed.

An alleged letter regarding a mass burial for 103 victims has surfaced online, eliciting a range of reactions from Nigerians.

Shehu Sani responded on the tragedy on his Twitter page on Sunday, expressing his displeasure with how the Buhari administration handled the EndSARS deaths.

“The Lekki EndSARS killings was not squarely addressed; the Past Government simply sprayed perfume on it.
