Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has reportedly withdrawn his desire to be included in President Bola Tinubu’s Ministerial appointees.
Earlier, it was mentioned that Nyesom Wike, former Governor of Rivers State, and Nasir El-Rufai had visited the president to discuss the Senate’s rejection of El-Rufai’s ministerial nomination.
However, according to a report from Premium Times, El-Rufai informed President Tinubu that he no longer aspires to become a minister. Instead, he expressed his commitment to contribute to Nigeria’s development as a private citizen.
El-Rufai also highlighted his need to focus on his doctorate program in The Netherlands and proposed Jafaru Ibrahim Sani as his replacement, emphasizing his usefulness to the president.
It is worth noting that Jafaru Ibrahim Sani previously served as a commissioner in three ministries in Kaduna State while El-Rufai was the governor.
