Tiwa Savage, a Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, has temporarily ceased performing owing to an odd sickness.
The singer of “Koroba” revealed in a press release that she has been battling an illness that required her to endure a lengthy, rigorous vocal rest period that lasted many months.
Tiwa Savage has a history of putting in hard work and giving great performances in her concerts.
Tiwa, however, stated that the virus had forced her to cancel all of her musical appearances, including her first-ever headline stadium concert in London.
The statement reads, “To my dear Savage Soldiers, I’ve been fighting off a virus for the past few weeks and was today firmly instructed to be on strict vocal rest for the next few months. I will unfortunately have to postpone all performances including my first ever headline arena show in London.”
“I’m heartbroken and devastated but I have to do this to save what’s left of my voice. I’m so sorry. I love you all and promise to be back performing once I’m fully healed.”
Tiwa Savage revealed that new dates for the postponed shows will be announced.
