Isaac Aloma, popularly known as ZicSaloma, has opened up about the lack of support he received from his family in pursuing a career in entertainment.
The skit maker and singer revealed that only his mother stood by him, while his four brothers would silence him whenever he attempted to sing at home during his upbringing.
ZicSaloma, the youngest son, recalled how his elder brothers even went to the extent of destroying his music cassettes to discourage him from pursuing music.
In a sincere conversation with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, ZicSaloma shared that his family members continued to oppose him when he started creating content.
His brothers never had faith in his abilities, but despite their lack of support, he proudly stated that he has become the cornerstone of the family.
He said, “It was only my mum that supported me. I remember when I was supposed to go for a competition in South Africa, I was supposed to go with two family and friends. So I took my mum, naturally, I am supposed to carry my siblings and I can not. Because none of them have ever supported me. I went with my friends.”
