Former Big Brother Naija housemate Uriel Oputa has slammed Nigerians who underestimate successful unmarried women.
The reality star turned to Instagram to chastise Nigerians who believe a woman must be married to be considered successful.
Uriel echoed the sentiment that even if a woman is a billionaire or owns a successful business, she hasn’t accomplished anything unless she gets married.
She claims that it is a pointless mindset because some women desire to remain unmarried.
She stressed that women’s accomplishments should not be overlooked simply because they are married.
In her words: “In Nigeria, if you like be a billionaire. Have the most successful business Be the most famous You haven’t accomplished anything unless you’re married. Very useless minded set. Some women actually don’t want to get married. Stop downplaying Women’s achievements because of marriage.”
