Drake pens appreciation note to Wizkid as joint hit song ‘One Dance’ hits 3billion streams on Spotify

Famous rapper Drake recently took to social media to give a special shoutout to Afrobeats sensation Wizkid as their hit song “One Dance” surpasses 3 billion streams on Spotify.

Drake shared the exciting news through the insta-stories section of his verified Instagram page, showcasing the message from Spotify congratulating them on reaching 3,002,082,636 streams.

The nostalgic bop “One Dance” was released in 2016 by Drake, featuring Kyla Reid and Wizkid.

The song quickly gained popularity worldwide, with high replay value, record-breaking success, and even a Grammy nomination.

With 3 billion streams on Spotify, “One Dance” now ranks as the 7th song ever to achieve this milestone on the streaming platform.

Drake wrote;

“One Dance is officially your First 3 Billion stream single, the 7th ever on Spotify. I remember walking into SOTA & your chalk board with the working track list for VIEWS, there was a song called “High Powered”. I asked which it was & you said “It’s an 85 beat I haven’t recorded yet..but it’s the Single & it’s Gone!”
