Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, also known as Tems, has disclosed that she sheds tears while recording certain songs.
She explained that these emotional moments occur because the lyrics are deeply personal to her.
The Grammy-winning artist, known for her album “For Broken Ears,” shared that most of her songs originate from spontaneous freestyles.
On her inspiration, Tems said, “What inspires me most is the season that I am in in life coupled with music that I’ve heard, people that I love; Frank Ocean, Asa, Sade, those are the people that inspired me, and helped me in my creative process.”
