A letter of undertaking, detailing the terms and conditions agreed upon by Nigerian singer Portable for the purchase of a N27 million G-Wagon, has emerged online following his arrest.
Portable gained attention after he jumped a gate while being pursued for an unpaid balance on the G-Wagon.
The arrest came about as a result of a petition filed by the car dealer, who claimed Portable had failed to complete the payment for the vehicle even after making an initial deposit.
The surfaced letter of undertaking signed by Portable indicates that he still owes N14 million on the G-Wagon. Voice recordings of the car dealer attempting to reach out to Portable have also been shared online.
The dealer has demanded that Portable either settle the remaining balance or return the vehicle.
However, Portable has argued that the G-Wagon had defects. According to the agreement, if Portable does not adhere to the terms, the dealer has the right to repossess the vehicle without issuing a refund.
