Andoni Iraola, Bournemouth’s manager, claims that Dominic Solanke’s departure has made his job more difficult.
Solanke joined Tottenham last week for £65 million.
Evanilson, on the other hand, is expected to arrive from Porto in a club-record £31 million deal with an option for a further £8.5 million.
“For us without Dom, my job is going to be more difficult because he is a hell of a player,” the Bournemouth boss said at a press conference.
“But there is also a personal side: you want the best for him. We will want him to score many goals, beat every opposition, and be as good as he is.
“I am sure he will be because his behavior has always been top. It is not easy to score the goals he has scored, to have his performance.
“For sure, he has had offers before, he was very happy here, he has been until the last day. It is also a good chance for him, but we wish him all the best.”
