Chidimma Vannesa Adetshina, who just won Miss Universe Nigeria, was named Enugu State’s brand ambassador at an emotional homecoming occasion.
The beauty queen, crowned at the famous Eko Hotel Convention Centre in September, beat out 25 other contenders to win the title and a cash award of N10 million (R112,000).
Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah invited Adetshina to the government house and commended her recent achievements. Chidimma was extremely moved by the governor’s emphasis on education since she is committed to empowering young people via education.
“I received the honour of being in the presence of the Governor of Enugu state, Dr. Peter Ndubisi Mbah. Upon my homecoming, I was received and appointed as the brand ambassador of Enugu State,” Chidimma expressed gratefully. “I cannot express my gratitude for all the great things I have achieved in my father’s land. Again… Nigeria, THANK YOU for picking me up when I was on my knees.”
With her new role as brand ambassador, Chidimma Adetshina is now preparing to represent Nigeria on the global stage at the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico.
