Yet another achievement for Nicki Minaj as she receives multiple RIAA certifications, including her third Diamond-certified single ‘Starships.’
With this new accolade, Nicki Minaj joins Cardi B as the only female rappers with three Diamond-certified hits. It’s worth noting that Nicki is the first female rapper to achieve this milestone solely as a lead artist.

With the new awards above, Minaj now has three Diamond-certified singles to her name as the ‘Starships’ news follows previous reports of hits ‘Bang Bang‘ (2014) and ‘Super Bass‘ (2011) already crossing the sales threshold.
As the RIAA does not include an artists’ featured hits in their respective career counts (unlike Billboard) , it’s worth nothing that Nicki Minaj is the first female rapper to be credited as a leading act on all three of her 10-million sellers (‘Super Bass,’ ‘Bang Bang,’ and ‘Starships’).
Further, Minaj is the first female rapper to have multiple Diamond-certified songs solo (a/k/a without features).
The updates push Minaj’s cumulative sales to 65.5 million in the United States – making her the best-selling female rapper of all time in the country.
