Roma are apparently preparing to sack head coach Ivan Juric after Sunday’s Serie A match against Bologna.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, conversations with Roberto Mancini as a prospective replacement for the coach are ongoing.
Juric, who took over for Daniele De Rossi in mid-September, has a mixed record of four wins, three draws, and four losses in 11 matches.
With Roma’s American owners, the Friedkins, arriving in the capital, there is growing concern that Juric’s time is running out.
The Friedkins’ last trip to Rome was to personally dismiss De Rossi and they had previously informed José Mourinho of his termination in January.
This history adds weight to rumours of Juric’s impending departure.
Meanwhile, Mancini, who recently left his role with Saudi Arabia, is reported to be Roma’s top choice and is in talks for a two-year contract with an optional extension.
Additionally, the Friedkins are considering Sassuolo’s Giovanni Carnevali as Roma’s new CEO.
