EPL: Southampton sack manager Ivan Juric after relegation confirmed

Roma sack Ivan Juric

Manager Ivan Juric has left Southampton after the team was relegated from the Premier League.

Ivan Juric was in charge for just 108 days, losing 12 out of 14 top-flight games. Juric triggered a relegation clause and exited the club, as confirmed by journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Southampton’s relegation was sealed with a 3-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, making them the first team to drop out of the Premier League this season.

Despite needing results to go their way, including Wolves failing to win and avoiding defeat to Tottenham, Southampton couldn’t escape the drop.

Their 10 points from 31 games is the joint-lowest on record, with a goal difference of -51.

Southampton has only managed two wins and four draws so far in the season.
