Ivan Juric has been officially dismissed by Roma following a 3-2 home loss to Verona, just under two months after taking over for Daniele De Rossi.
Heading into today’s match, the situation was already bleak, but the crisis worsened with another Serie A defeat.
Following a 3-2 loss to Verona last week and a draw in the Europa League against Union Saint-Gilloise, Roma suffered a 3-2 defeat at home to Bologna.
Juric was expected to speak to DAZN before the game, but failed to show up for his media obligations.
After the match, Roma confirmed his sacking in a statement released before Juric spoke to the media.
“We would like to thank Ivan Juric for his hard work these past weeks,” read the statement.
“He handled a difficult environment with the utmost professionalism, and for that we are grateful. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
“The search for a new head coach has already begun and we expect an announcement in the coming days.”
Ivan Juric and his staff left the stadium without speaking to journalists.
