Super Eagles interim coach, Augustine Eguavoen, has successfully undergone surgery in Belgium after several postponements due to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
Eguavoen led the Super Eagles to qualification for the Morocco 2025 tournament in November.
Assistant coach Daniel Ogunmodede has taken over the home-based Super Eagles for the 2024 African Nations Championship qualifier against Black Galaxies of Ghana, resulting in a 0-0 draw in the first leg in Accra on Sunday.
