Kylian Mbappe, the Real Madrid forward, has expressed his desire for his former club, Paris Saint-Germain, not to win the UEFA Champions League this season.
Instead, he hopes that Real Madrid will come out on top in the prestigious tournament.
Having left PSG for Real Madrid during the last summer transfer window, Mbappe also sent his best wishes to his former team in their Champions League campaign.
Despite never winning the Champions League himself, the French international played in the 2020 final where PSG fell short to Bayern Munich with a 1-0 defeat.
When asked if he wants his former PSG to win the Champions League, Mbappe told Clique TV:
“Do I want PSG to win UCL? Right now? No, I want to win with Madrid.
“But I wish them the best at PSG. I hope that one day they will win the Champions League.
“But not now, because I have to win a little (laughs).”
