A woman known as Olamide Thomas, who reportedly issued a death threat towards Seyi Tinubu via social media, was arraigned on Friday at a Federal High Court situated in Abuja.

The arraignment was conducted by the office of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, before Justice Emeka Nwite, encompassing a three-count charge.

CREEBHILLS has reported that Olamide was apprehended on accusations related to the harassment and intimidation of Seyi Tinubu, Egbetokun, and the Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, as evidenced by a viral social media post.

In the charge designated as FHC/ABJ/CR/636/2024, dated and filed on December 18 by a legal team from the police led by A.A. Egwu, Olamide is listed as the sole defendant.

Upon the court’s resumption, Victor Okoye, representing the police, informed the court that the session was scheduled for arraignment, indicating his readiness to proceed.

Nevertheless, the judge assured the defense counsel that once a bail application is submitted in the form of a motion on notice, the court would promptly consider it.

He subsequently ordered her remand at Suleja Correctional Centre pending the adjudication of her bail application.

In the first count, Olamide is alleged to have, at some point in 2024, knowingly and intentionally transmitted a communication in the form of a video recording via a computer system or network on her social media platforms, wherein she expressed remarks in the Yoruba Language.
