Real Madrid winger, Vinicius Jr set to acquire football club

Real Madrid Winger Vinicius Jr. is Injured, expected to be out for 3 weeks

Real Madrid winger, Vinícius Júnior, is reportedly considering the acquisition of a football club in Portugal’s second division, according to ESPN.

It is speculated that Vinícius is contemplating the diversification of his business portfolio as he prepares for life beyond his football career.

The 24-year-old player currently holds multiple personal sponsorship agreements and has a contract with Nike that extends until 2028.

Vinícius is represented by Roc Nation and maintains regular communication with elite athletes from other sports, particularly those in the NBA and NFL.

The Portuguese second division comprises 18 teams, which include the reserve teams of prominent clubs such as Benfica and Porto.

One such club, Portimonense, is already managed by a Brazilian, Rodiney Sampaio.

Vinícius would not be the inaugural active footballer to invest in a club.

His teammate at Madrid, Kylian Mbappé, assumed majority ownership of Caen, a club in the French second division, in July of the previous year.

N’Golo Kanté is also the owner of Royal Excelsior Virton, a club competing in the Belgian third division
