Popular Lagos socialite and internet sensation Egungun of Lagos has stirred up a heated online conversation with his bold claim that formal education does not guarantee success.
According to him, obtaining a university degree is no assurance of achieving financial or personal goals.
Egungun’s Personal Experience
To back up his argument, Egungun shared real-life examples from his own staff, including his chef, Tayo, who holds two degrees in Biology and Nutrition.
Despite graduating with a second-class upper, Tayo currently works as a personal chef for Egungun. He also noted that all five staff members, including his personal assistants and videographer, are university graduates.
In his words:
“School does not guarantee the success of man. My chef, Tayo, is highly educated. He studied Biology in school and has two degrees as a Nutritionist and Dietitian. He graduated with a second-class upper. I also have five staff members, all of whom are degree holders, including my PAs and videographer.”
