Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold has reportedly finalized personal terms with Real Madrid for a summer transfer on a free deal.
As per Sky Sports reports, the talented right-back is expected to sign a five-year contract worth £240,000 per week, a substantial increase from his current £180,000-a-week salary at Liverpool.
The agreement also includes a generous signing-on fee and performance-related bonuses.
Alexander-Arnold, aged 26, has been a prime target for Madrid after achieving success with Liverpool, winning major trophies such as the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup. Having spent 21 years at Anfield since joining the academy in 2004, he is set to depart for new challenges.
The transfer will see him reunited with fellow player Jude Bellingham at Madrid, with the club also exploring potential signings of Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth and Adam Wharton from Crystal Palace.
In Alexander-Arnold‘s absence, Liverpool have academy product Conor Bradley as a replacement option, with Joe Gomez and Jarell Quansah as additional right-back cover.
