President Donald Trump of the United States announced on his Truth Social platform that he plans to purchase a new Tesla to show support for Elon Musk, the CEO of the company and a top campaign donor and advisor.
Elon Musk, the world’s richest person, expressed gratitude for Trump’s gesture on his X platform.
“To Republicans, Conservatives, and all great Americans, Elon Musk is ‘putting it on the line’ in order to help our Nation, and he is doing a FANTASTIC JOB!,”
“But the Radical Left Lunatics, as they often do, are trying to illegally and collusively boycott Tesla, one of the World’s great automakers, and Elon’s ‘baby,’ in order to attack and do harm to Elon, and everything he stands for.
“I’m going to buy a brand new Tesla tomorrow morning as a show of confidence and support for Elon Musk, a truly great American.
“Why should he be punished for putting his tremendous skills to work in order to help MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN,” Trump said.
Since returning to the White House, Trump has empowered Musk to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in efforts to cut federal government spending and reduce agencies’ workforces.
However, this cost-cutting campaign has faced opposition from protests, court rulings, and lawmakers.
Despite Musk’s close relationship with Trump, polls show that the tech billionaire is unpopular among average Americans.
His budget cuts have led to conflicts between Republicans and their constituents at town halls.
