Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has confessed that he felt hurt after his team’s loss to Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final on Saturday night.
Barcelona emerged victorious with a 3-2 scoreline, with goals from Pedri, Ferran Torres, Aurélien Tchouaméni, and Kylian Mbappe leading to a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes.
However, Jules Kounde’s goal in extra time sealed the win for Hansi Flick’s team, leaving Ancelotti disappointed as Real Madrid came close to lifting the Copa del Rey trophy.
Ancelotti said, “We dominated the second half… and we did everything we could. I can’t criticize the team, we did our best.
“I’m hurt, it was so close. We were so close to winning.
“Now we will focus on winning La Liga,” he added.
Real Madrid will now shift their attention to the LaLiga as they currently sit in second position with four points behind leaders Barcelona.
