Dr. Victor Omololu Olunloyo, a former governor of Oyo State, has passed away.
The first person to govern Ibadan as governor, he died early on Sunday, just three months before his 90th birthday.
He served as the governor of old Oyo State from October to December 1983.
Sources close to the family revealed that he had been battling age-related ailments in recent weeks.
The family is expected to announce funeral arrangements soon.
