Gospel music executive Eezee Tee, former manager of Mercy Chinwo, has broken his silence regarding the arrest of social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) by security operatives in Abuja.

Taking to Instagram, Eezee Tee acknowledged VDM’s role in championing the struggles of the marginalized, emphasizing his advocacy for the voiceless and underprivileged in Nigerian society.
While his statement did not endorse VDM, it called for the activist’s protection and freedom during the ongoing legal proceedings.
“He may not be perfect, but he uses his voice for those who don’t have one,” Eezee Tee wrote.
His comments come amid swirling accusations that Mercy Chinwo may have been connected to VDM’s detention—a claim neither confirmed nor addressed directly by Eezee Tee. Instead, his post focused on VDM’s social impact, steering clear of the controversy.
As of press time, Mercy Chinwo or her legal representatives have not issued an official statement regarding the situation.
