GRAMMY-winning singer Lizzo has firmly denied claims that she used weight-loss drug Ozempic, accusing the media of twisting her recent comments made on Trisha Paytas’ podcast.
The ‘Still Bad’ hitmaker took to TikTok to clear the air, slamming outlets that suggested she relied on the popular GLP-1 medication for her weight loss journey.
“I did not use Ozempic for my weight release,” Lizzo stated. “I did a podcast where the host mentioned wanting to try GLP-1 drugs. I told them to do what’s best for them — but what works for me is a simple calorie deficit. That’s it.”
The singer went on to call out the media for misleading reporting:

“What you’re not going to do is clip that moment and make it a headline. The media is sick and twisted. The world is literally at war, this country is in shambles — and you’re making up lies? Are you okay?”
Lizzo’s response comes after clips from her appearance on Paytas’ podcast circulated online, sparking speculation that she credited Ozempic for her recent slimmed-down look. However, the singer insists the narrative was completely misconstrued.
Known for her hit song “Rumors”, where she cheekily sang “all the rumors are true,” Lizzo made it clear that this time, the gossip mill got it wrong.
Lizzo has admitted to trying weight loss drugs in an interview with Trisha Paytas on the Just Trish podcast.
