The ongoing war of words between controversial street-hop singer Portable and Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has escalated into a full-blown social media spectacle, leaving fans divided over who crossed the line.
Trouble started after Laide Bakare downplayed Portable’s relevance in an interview with Legit.ng, branding him as “a dirty boy from Sango” while insisting she had never met him. Her comments didn’t stop there—she also threw shade at Nigerian women who migrated to Libya, describing them as “call girls.” These remarks didn’t sit well with Portable, who fired back without hesitation.

Taking to his Instagram page, Portable blasted the actress for disrespecting women hustling abroad and questioned her credibility. “You’re looking down on those struggling for survival!” he ranted, warning Bakare to keep his name out of her mouth.
Unfazed by his outburst, Laide clapped back with a subtle jab on her Instagram, posting in Yoruba: “Portable, let your head be correct.” But Portable wasn’t ready to let the matter rest.
In a fresh video, the Zeh Nation boss took things up a notch, mocking Bakare’s marital status and hinting that she once invited him to an event without paying his appearance fee. He also accused her of pretending to live large while allegedly struggling behind the scenes, questioning her so-called celebrity status.

According to Portable, Bakare’s derogatory comment about Libyan migrants was the real reason he lashed out in the first place. “If she hadn’t insulted those women, I wouldn’t have said a word,” he claimed.
The messy exchange has since gone viral, with social media users weighing in. While some view the spat as needless ego-driven behavior, others argue that both stars have let their egos take the feud too far.
For now, the drama shows no signs of abating as fans eagerly await to see who fires the next shot.
