Tanzanian-Nigerian singer Juma Jux has revealed the deeply emotional and spiritual process that led to his wife, Priscilla Ojo, embracing Islam before their widely celebrated wedding.
In an interview with Afrik Media, Juma Jux explained that convincing Priscilla—daughter of popular Nigerian actress and entrepreneur Iyabo Ojo—to change her faith was a “little difficult”, requiring patience, emotional strength, and religious guidance.
“It was a little difficult convincing my wife to become a Muslim,” Jux said. “I was receiving lessons from religious leaders, so there was a way that they were teaching me about how to convince her, and with time, she understood.”
Juma Jux also revealed that he foresaw their union in a dream, describing their wedding as more than just a celebration—it was a spiritual milestone that aligned with his destiny.
“I knew everything when it came to my wedding. I had a dream about it. I was so lucky to find someone who wants the same thing as I do,” he added.
The couple recently concluded their grand wedding ceremony, which captured the attention of fans across East and West Africa. Following the celebration, they both took to social media to express heartfelt gratitude to friends, family, and fans for the overwhelming support.
While the wedding sparked some criticism and curiosity online—including a follower questioning Priscilla’s decision—both Jux and Priscilla have remained united and steadfast, celebrating their love and religious journey together.
